The MACFOG story is one of love, passion, and commitment, that began many years ago as a girl-meets-boy story. The girl found herself in the boy's home when she went there as a 10 year old for a meeting of a church sponsored girls group, hosted by the boy's mother. She noticed him as he passed through the living room, and her interest was piqued. (He isn't sure he remembers the occasion. As an 11 year old boy, he wasn't much interested in girls yet.)
It wasn't long, though, before he did notice. He started hanging out with her older brother, and soon began to develop an interest in her. Fast forward a couple of years, and they were an item.
The MACFOG name is a combination of their school nicknames. She was Mac, a shortened version of her last name, and he was Fog, a name bestowed on him by his junior high football coach who said he was always in a fog whenever Mac hung around to watch practice.
They married straight out of high school, started a family, went to school for a while, worked a variety of jobs, and lived in many places. They raised two handsome sons and a beautiful daughter, who have given them many wonderful grandchildren. They bucked all the odds for high school sweethearts by staying together as a happy couple. And they're still going strong, many years later. The passion may not be quite as hot and noisy as it once was, but it's just as deep.
